Understanding how context and seemingly unnoticeable elements shape our behavior and our choices has always been paramount in my work. I took a particular interest in the tables found in Mexican“Cantinas” or pubs which inspired the Planck game table. It is a common practice in these Cantinas to ask waiters for a dominoes set or a deck of cards and have a drink while playing something. The Planck Game Table has trays on its legs to let the users put their drinks away from the top and make room for any tabletop game. A soft leather cover provides a smooth surface in which to play, and sliding trays give extra room for chips or cards.
